AfFB and world bank are launching an initiative called Mission 300 meaning improving electricity access to 300 million people in Africa by 2030.
World bank will be supporting with $30-40 billion while the AfDB will provide $10-15 billion.
OPEC funds already pledged $2 billion, Rockefeller also pledged $65 million.
Other institutions and organizations are expected to also make commitments.
Total money expected to be unlocked is $90 billion.
Countries like Nigeria are expected to commit to reform their electricity utility companies, push renewable energy integration and raise national electricity connection targets.
